Hands Against Hunger

In December Mommy and I, along with other MTCES families, volunteered at Hands Against Hunger.  Hands Against Hunger is a local organization that prepares meals to be sent all over the world.  We were divided into groups and it was our responsibility to fill the meal pouches with rice, soy, dried vegetables, and protein.  We had a lot of fun and were glad to help families and kids from around the world.

Here are some pictures of me working the assembly line!
Here I am getting scoops of soy to add to the bag.
Now I am taking a turn with the rice!
The best job, pounding the bags flat for easier shipping!

Morning Routine!

Sometimes in the morning I am not so eager to wake up and get ready for school.  Mom usually starts waking me up before she showers, but she usually has to call for me after her shower too.  One particular morning Mom tried waking me up before her shower and asked me to get ready quickly because we needed to leave a little earlier than usual.

When Mom came out of her shower this is what she found...
Here I am all snuggled in bed!
Needless to say, Mom was not happy :(

Roller Skating!

The Friday after Thanksgiving I tried something new!  I went roller skating for the first time.  There was a whole group of us from school.  I was very nervous at first, but by the end of the day I had the hang of it and was ready to ask Santa Claus for my own roller blades!
Dancing on individual stages before the free skate!
Holding on!!!
Fun with friends!
Here is a short video of me toward the end of the day.  I was really getting the hang of it!  I can't wait to go back and try again.

Thanksgiving

At school we had an all-school Thanksgiving feast this year.  All nine grades ate lunch together.  The Kindergartners dressed up as Pilgrims and the First Graders dressed as Native Americans.  Here is my class before the feast.
